Do Leaves Need More Than One Visit?
Often, yes. Maples, oaks and big shade trees drop leaves over five or six weeks, so a yard that's clear in late October can be covered again by mid-November. Add a Return Leaf Pass: a second visit two to three weeks after the first, leaves off the lawn and out of the beds, everything hauled away.
| Lot size | Return Leaf Pass |
|---|---|
| Small to medium (up to ~7,000 sq ft) | $160 |
| Large (~7,000–12,000 sq ft) | $275 |
| Extra large (12,000 sq ft – ½ acre) | $440 |
| ½ – 1 acre | $750 |
| 1 – 3 acres | $1,555 |
What's Included in Leaf Removal?
- Leaves off the whole lawn: blown, raked and vacuumed, front yard and back.
- Leaves out of the beds, from under shrubs, along fence lines and out of window wells and corners where they pile up.
- A final short mow so the lawn goes into winter at the right height.
- Perennials cut back and beds tidied for winter.
- Everything hauled away. Leaves, cuttings and small branches leave on our trailer.
Why Not Just Wait for the City Truck?
City of Sheboygan curbside leaf collection is free and it works, if you can rake on the city's schedule. But the city only takes loose leaves, only on your zone's day, and only until the weather turns. Branches, perennial cuttings, sod and bagged leaves aren't picked up at the curb. Outside the city limits, in the towns and rural addresses, there is often no curbside leaf program at all.
We take all of it, on a date that works for you, and you never have to rake a pile to the street. Our Sheboygan leaf pickup guide covers the city's 2026 schedule and rules if you'd rather do it yourself.
When Should Leaves Come Off the Lawn?
Before the first lasting snow. Leaves that mat down over winter block light, hold moisture against the turf and set up snow mold, and you find the dead patches in April. A thin layer can be mulch-mowed into the lawn; if you can't see grass through the leaves, they need to come off. Most Sheboygan County yards drop leaves over five or six weeks, so late October through Thanksgiving is the busy stretch. Book early in that window for the best choice of dates. More on that in should you mulch leaves or rake them up.
