Within a few miles of Lake Michigan — Sheboygan, Kohler, the Town of Wilson, Oostburg — lawns green up later and grow longer into November. Inland towns like Plymouth, Howards Grove and Random Lake sit in zone 5b, warm up sooner and get the colder winters.
