Topsoil for raised beds, low spots, lawn repair and new plantings — screened, so you spread soil instead of sorting rocks. Compost is the same rich blend we spread with the topdresser, for garden beds and vegetable plots. Whole-lawn topdressing is a different job; that's priced on its own page.

Pea stone and washed gravel for paths, drainage and dog runs; 1–2 inch river rock for beds, borders and dry creek beds; decorative granite where you want the premium look that holds its color. Sold by the ton — one covers about 125 square feet at 2 inches.

Plenty of people love spreading their own mulch. Plenty discover, one Saturday in, that they don't. Tick 'have us spread it' in the calculator and the crew places it while the pile is still steaming — add bed prep and old-mulch haul-away only if your beds need them. Price my materialsAt 3 inches deep, which is what beds need to hold moisture and shade out weeds. Measure each bed's length × width, add them up, and the calculator turns it into yards.
At 2 inches — the usual depth for topping up beds or filling low spots. Going deeper on a lawn smothers it, which is why lawn topdressing is spread far thinner and priced separately.
At 2 inches. Stone is sold by weight because it varies so much — a yard of river rock weighs well over a ton — and the calculator prices it per ton.
Running half a yard short means a second trip for a shovelful. The calculator rounds to the nearest half yard or half ton on purpose; a little spare keeps fine on a tarp.
Below two yards, bagged material from the garden center works out cheaper once delivery is in the price. The calculator flags it rather than selling you a load you don't need.
Delivery is one flat charge anywhere in Sheboygan County. Past what fits on one truck it's priced as two trips, and the estimate says so before you send it. Nothing is charged until you approve the final number.
